Overall Features & Benefits

Regardless of what UltraServe Compute product(s) you use, we resolve all infrastructure, hardware, and data centre networking problems at no cost to you. All Cloud, Virtual or Dedicated Machines come fully equipped, connected and backed by the UltraServe team. We work diligently to ensure the uptime and availability of your machines.

We spec, build, and manage the infrastructure necessary to run your compute, networking, security, and storage products. This includes our data centres, where we cover all the necessities including redundant power supplies and cooling systems to upstream Internet connectivity. We manage the network that connects and segments all the machines and devices in the data centre. We also manage all the devices operating in our data centres, including our compute, networking, security, and storage products. All these components make up the UltraServe platform and their management is included in Basic Managed Services.

As part of any UltraServe Compute product, we will replace failed physical server components at no cost to you, including CPU, RAM, motherboard, power supply, physical drives, RAID controllers, network interfaces, and others. This also includes network cabling, network switches, routers, firewalls, IDS, and more.

Software Managed Services [Virtual & Dedicated Machines only]

Software Managed Services go beyond Basic Managed Services to cover operating systems and applications. Working as your IT partner, we ensure the software runs at high service levels. We apply the latest updates so that your software is always current and secured against new bugs or external threats. If you have performance or stability problems, the UltraServe team is ready to help.

Software Managed Services are only available on Virtual & Dedicated Machines, and limited to some operating systems and applications.

It is very common for the most critical security and application hot fix updates to go uninstalled for extended periods of time, or not be installed at all. Often the reasons are due to limited skilled resources and day-to-day judgment calls about what is more important; to either address an immediate need with a measurable business benefit or deploy the current batch of system software updates with their unknown and often unquantified affect on system vulnerability. Experience has shown many of the disruptive events reported to the UltraServe team could have been avoided, had the relevant update been applied in a timely fashion.

Software Managed Services has two (2) options:

Option 1: Operating System Only
Previously Level 2

We will manage, update, and maintain the installed operating system on your Dedicated or Cloud Machine. We offer this product on a selection of operating systems, including Windows Server, RHEL, and CentOS.

Option 2: Operating System & Applications
Previously Level 3

In addition to all thats included in Option 1 and above, Option 2, also includes patching of many of the most popular enterprise applications available today, including:

  • Active Directory
